I recently completed a Master's in translation with a focus on German to English translation at Kent State University. Prior to arriving at Kent State I spent years working in the non-profit, corporate and education sectors.
I’ve also lived abroad in Austria and Germany for over 3 years and have studied German language and literature for well over a decade.
The two-year curriculum at Kent included the following courses:
- literary translation
- scientific/ technical/ medical translation
- commercial/ legal/ diplomatic translation
- project management
- software localization
- terminology management
