I am a Structural Design Engineer with Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics / Norton Radomes Division. I am responsible for the design and development of composite radomes, covers and structures from inquiry to manufacture. I am the primary structural engineer and I am responsible for the finite element analysis (FEA) required on all products. We use Algor and ANSYS for our FEA. The radomes are used on aircraft to protect radar, radio, satellite telephone and direct broadcast television antennas from weather, dirt and bird strike.
