E-mailing the class

I use a listserv command to send general e-mails out to the entire class.  You may wish to use it as well.

Getting and Sending E-mail

You can send an e-mail to the entire class by using the link below, or sending an e-mail to “ECONxxxxx@listserv.kent.edu.  (xxxxx is the course number).  Only persons with registered e-mail addresses can do this.   I have initially added your KSU e-mail address to the list.  I will be happy to register other e-mail addresses to the list.  The process is simple. Simply send an e-mail to the address and everyone in the class gets it.

Etiquette

A little common sense is called for.  There are no anonymous e-mail messages.  Everyone – myself included - knows who sent it, so don’t send personal or offensive messages.  I reserve the right to de-list anyone who abuses the system

Adding Addresses

Many people prefer to send and receive e-mail at other accounts, including hotmail, yahoo and work accounts.  I’m happy to accommodate, but you must send me an e-mail asking me to register the account.  I make this offer to all of my classes, so please tell me which course you are taking.  These requests come in at the beginning of the semester when I have yet to place names with faces and courses.

There may be a slight delay.  I tend to do these in batches.

And yes, if you drop the course, I can de-list you.  But you must ask.
