CONNEMARA  REEL  SET

	This set is from County Galway, Ireland.
	Swing in ceili hold – except at some sites where the final swing of the set is in waltz hold.
	Chain:  High follow  --  The gent pull-the-lady’s-hand to arch position and follows her
	around at his position; ladies chain on the way home.
	Except when the gent steps first on the left foot for the house arounds, all dancers begin
	forward on the right foot for Figures 1 through 3.
	The traditional step for Figures 1 through 3 is a lift (slight hop) on the right with a heel-down
	on the left then down on the right, toe-heel (batter-step) on the left then down on the right.
	An ordinary polka step is danced in Figure 4 (gents begin forward on left foot and
	ladies begin forward on right foot:  down-2-3, down-2-3).
	Finish:  The final two measures of swings, house arounds and advance and retires
	in Figures 1 through 3 are traditionally a back, back, 1-2-3 (backward slightly
	on the right, then backward slightly on the left then in-place R-L-R; the final right
	is a light stamp or may be toe-tap across the left).
	Bar counts (measures of music) for patterns are shown in bold.
	The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
	First side couple is on the right of the first top couple.
