    This set comes from County Sligo, Ireland. 
    Gents dance forward on the left foot and ladies begin forward on the right foot.
    Quarterhouse:  couples take waltz hold facing one another and dance in-place1;
                lift/kick the outside foot (gent’s right, lady’s left) toward the center then in-place1;
               dance to the next position on the right, turning clockwise once2; repeat the
               preceding four-bar pattern through each next right position to home.  This
               pattern is similar to the Hop Quarterhouse danced in the Borlin Set.
    Bar counts for dance patterns are shown in bold.
    The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
    First Side couple is on the left of the first top couple.
    Swing in waltz hold in Figures One and Three and in ceili hold in Figure Two.

    FIGURE 1 -- REELS (248 BARS)  
Dance an ordinary reel step (lift-2-3-4).
All couples: REPEAT  "MARKER" lead around; gents place left hands on the left shoulder of the gent in front
          (locked) and take right-hand-in-right with partner; dance two bars
          on-the-spot at each position; release left hands then turn the lady
          clockwise to-place (at home) on the final two bars16;
Top couples: take hands in a circle with the couple on the right and dance around clockwise4;
top couples form an arch and the couple on the right dances under the arch as
          both couples dance to-place; during the final two bars, the top couple
          turn under their arch (lady anticlockwise and gent clockwise)4;
All couples: face corner partner and take inside (closest) hands and form an arch; the ladies
          turn clockwise two times under-the-arch while the gents dance in-place4;
          face original partner and take inside hands and form an arch; the ladies
          turn clockwise two times under-the-arch while the gents dance in-place4;
original partners swing in waltz hold8;
REPEAT  "MARKER"REPEAT  "MARKER" first top lady house anticlockwise inside the set to opposite (four bars) then
          house clockwise to home (four bars);
          while the first top lady houses across and back, all other dancers form
          a hand-holding circle and dance clockwise (four bars -- forward three,
          change direction, one) then dance anticlockwise to-place (four bars)8;
First top couple: dance in-place (no touch) with the lady beginning inside the set facing the gent4;
swing in waltz hold; end with the lady facing the second top gent4;
Top couples: first top lady and second top gent dance in-place (no touch)4;
swing in waltz hold, ending with the lady facing the second top gent4;
first top lady and both top gents dance a no-touch figure eight (lady around
          second top gent right-shoulder-to-right, pass partner right-shoulder-to-right,
          pass second top gent left-shoulder-to-left as she turns anticlockwise to
          her home place; gents pass left-shoulder-to-left when they first meet
          then right-shoulder-to-right when they meet the second time)8;

Dance ordinary polka steps (down-2-3 and slide-slide-slide) and as shown below.
All couples: REPEAT  "MARKER" square the house :   take waltz hold and slide to the first position on the right
          (gents backs to center); dance 1-2-3- lift trailing foot2; to dance
          in-place and turn one-quarter clockwise, step down on the lifted foot
          (gent's right, lady's left)1; step down on the opposite foot (gent's left,
          lady's right)1; repeat the preceding slide/lift/turn pattern three times
          to reach respective homes (when dancing toward the second and fourth
          positions, gents slide on the right foot and ladies slide on the left foot)12;
still in waltz hold, slide in and out once4; house anticlockwise to opposite4;
repeat the preceding slide/house patterns to home8;
full house in waltz hold8;
REPEAT  "MARKER"REPEAT  "MARKER" all face corner-partner and, without touching, dance down, up, 1-2-3
          beginning on the leading foot; repeat the down, up, 1-2-3 with the

           with each gent holding his partner's hand over her shoulder and the
           other lady's hand behind him (as in the BALLYCOMMON SET );

          dance down, up, 1-2-3 four times as above8;

          side couples, right-hand-in-right, advance and retire once, beginning the

Dance ordinary hornpipe steps (lift-2-3-4 and 1-2-3-4-5-6-7).
All couples: REPEAT  "MARKER" take waltz hold and square anticlockwise around the set:
          dance 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, turn 1/4 anticlockwise to the first position
          on the right2; repeat the preceding pattern three times to reach
          respective home positions6;
full house in waltz hold8;
Top couples: gents hook left arms in the center2; double around2; give right arms to opposite
          lady2; new couples dance around one another to-place2;
Side couples: repeat the preceding hook arounds and crossover, leaving all couples at their
          respective opposite positions8;
All couples: interlacing sevens crossover (gallop, beginning weight on the trailing foot) to
          home then to opposite :
                     in waltz hold, tops dance 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 across then in-place2;
                    sides repeat the preceding crossover but begin two bars after tops2;
                     repeat the preceding crossover to respective opposites, with
                    gents again dancing back-to-back during the crossing4;
full house in waltz hold8;
