This site is dedicated to something we all enjoy...The MOVIES! We all have our personal favorites, but have you ever wondered which films in Hollywood history have achieved the highest amount of success? I try to objectively (with a little subjectiveness) answer that question - and probably spark a few debates as well!

Films were scored and ranked based equally upon the following 3 factors (Click each for details):

How well did the film perform at the Academy Awards?

How highly is the film regarded based on the AFI & Actor Polls?

How well did the film perform at the Box Office?

 Why these 3?
  • The number of Oscars a film wins gauges the popularity of a film just after its initial release - in the opinions of those who work in the film industry itself.

  • How well a film polls measures its "staying power". A film that retains its popularity over time is just as noteworthy (if not more) as a film that was popular during its initial release.

  • Any film which makes a commercial profit is considered a success. Even if the film diminishes in popularity over time, this measurement tells us how popular it was (with the fans) at that point in history.
