The Mwongela research group resides on the third floor of Williams Hall in the Department of Chemistry, Kent State University, Kent Campus in Kent, OH. It is close to the Kent Campus Main library (tall building in the background in the picture to the right) and the Kent student center which is packed with lots of services, programs, and activities and shares a common bus stop area for those who prefer to use the campus bus line (picture below).

If you are interested in joining our group, you would probably like to know a little more about Kent. Kent is located in North East Ohio just east of Akron metropolitan area and about 45 minutes south of Cleveland. It has a population of approximately 35,000 and is a typical college town. Mostly, life is dominated by Kent State University students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Also, it has a historic Downtown with a number of nice cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

There are plenty of reasonably priced students housing available. You can use any apartment search engine such as apartments.com, apartmentguide.com, or rent.com to get a get a feel for housing cost in the area.

There are lots of things to do or places to go to in North East Ohio. I would encourage you to check out the university circle for attractions around the Cleveland area and Professor Brasch's where we are web page for other fun things around kent. In adittion, Columbus Ohio is just a 2 hour drive from Kent and one of the Seven Forgotten Natural Wonders of the World Niagara falls is only 31/2 hrs away.
