For six years I lived and learned in Japan. Over this period I lived on the west coast, the east coast, and the middle of Honshu. I spent the first five years of my journey teaching English at junior and senior high schools, helping young Japanese students learn to communicate effectively in English. I spent my final year studying Japanese language and culture at Suzuka International University.

Currently I am pursuing a MA in Japanese-English translation at Kent State University.
