Ian

Ian Ross is the lead guitarist and lead singer/songwriter in Lucky 13. Growing up, both of Ian's parents were avid music fans and he was raised to appreciate all kinds of music. Since Ian was 3 years old he sang in the church choir at First United Methodist Church in his hometown and picked up the clarinet in 5th grade. It was at age 12 however, when Ian discovered the guitar, and after hearing Eric Clapton, decided to make that his instrument of choice.

Ian's personal music tastes in music are of a very wide variety. Some of his favorite musicians include: Jeff Beck, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Oscar Peterson, Danny Gatton, Bela' Fleck, Victor Wooten, Joe Pass, Bach, Rachmaninov, Ella Fitzgerald, Van Halen, John Coltrane, Johnny Winter, Earl Scruggs, Buddy Guy, and Schmerfi-Werfi.
