Nathan Salladay is the bassist, backing vocalist, and songwriter with The Lucky 13 Band. Nathan's first exposure to music was in his church choir and he picked up the violin at age 7. In grade school, Nathan picked up trumpet and was first chair in the Akron Youth Philharmonic. At age 12, Nathan's uncle gave him his first bass, a mid-seventies fretless fender, which he plays to this day.

Nathan's favorite players and bands include: Allen Woody, Victor Wooten, Gov't Mule, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Cream, Santana, and Jaco Pastorious. Nathan is also a big fan of classical music by composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Pagannini.
