Practicum Experience

Practicum Reflection View

During my practicum I learned about and applied constructivist teaching principles. It was a reinforcement for me that that is how I desire to teach. I want to be able to facilitate a lesson rather than lecture. One of the things that I took away from the whole experience was a catch-phrase that my mentor shared and practiced which was, "Watch me do it, then you do it." This gives the learner to practice and learn the skill, or idea that the teacher is teaching about.
