    This set is from County Roscommon, Ireland.
    Swing in ceili hold.
    Corner-partners:  While in set formation, gents turn left and ladies turn right to
              begin dancing with one another in their respective nearest corner.
    Jazz, Jazzing:   In waltz hold couples dance anticlockwise around the set for sixteen
              bars of music, combining clockwise turns and straight-line dancing.  The
              jazzing step is a gentle walk (1-2, 1-2, 1-2, etc.) with a tiny bit of sway or
              lilt with each step.  Only when jazzing with corner-partners,  gents initially
              step backward on the right foot and ladies dance forward on the left foot.
                Dancers also Jazz in the TUBBERCURRY LANCERS and the
                CLOONADIVEEN LANCERS sets.
    Except as shown for Jazzing with corner-partners, gents begin (dance) on the left foot
              and ladies begin on the right foot.
    Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold.
    The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music.
    First side couple is on the left of the first top couple.

  SET FORMATION   FIGURE 1 -- REELS (168 BARS) 
Dance a gliding/shuffling   p o l k a    step, down-2-3.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER" first top gent and second top lady dance clockwise around one another
          (no touch) and end in the center facing their opposite positions8;
swing in ceili hold6;  reverse to home2;
pass through to opposite;  first top, holding inside (closest) hands, dance
          between second top;  partners turn-in to one another (gents turn
          clockwise and ladies turn anticlockwise) at opposite4;
as above, repeat the pass through to home but with second top couple
          in the middle, holding inside hands4;
corner-partners  jazz   around the set16.
All couples: repeat from   REPEAT "MARKER"   with the second top gent/first top lady, the first side
          gent/second side lady, then the second side gent/first side
          lady leading120.
  SET FORMATION   FIGURE 2 -- JIGS (200 BARS)    
Dance a gentle batter-step (step-heel-toe-down, step-heel-toe-down)
          when advancing and retiring.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER" take crossed hands (rights on top) and advance and retire once4;
still holding crossed-hands, crossover clockwise with the lady leading;
          the lady dances backward to-place and the gent crosses in front of
          the lady as he too dances backward to-place (the lady begins to turn
          anticlockwise even as she leaves home for opposite)4;
as above, repeat the advance and retire  and crossover to home8;
swing in ceili hold; on bar six, the side couples split-off (partners separate)
          to form lines-of-four with the top couples8;
All couples: lines-of-four:   advance and retire twice, holding inside hands8.

   SET FORMATION   FIGURE 3 -- JIGS (104 BARS)
Dance a gliding/shuffling jig step, down-2-3.
Top couples: REPEAT "MARKER" take crossed hands and advance and retire once4;
still holding crossed-hands, crossover clockwise, with the lady leading;
          the lady dances backward to-place and the gent crosses in front of
          the lady as he too dances backward to-place (the lady begins to turn
          anticlockwise even as she leaves home for opposite)4;
from the opposite position, face left and pinwheel with the side couple,
          first with the right hands (three bars forward, reverse direction one
          bar) then pinwheel with the left hands (four bars); ladies are to
          have their hands overhead during the pinwheels8;
same coupleslittle Christmas (ladies’ hands on the gents’ shoulders)6;
                         reverse to-place at home2;
take crossed hands and advance and retire once4;
still holding crossed-hands, crossover anticlockwise, with the gent
          leading; the gent dances backward to-place and the lady crosses
          in front of the gent as she too dances backward to-place (the gent
          begins to turn anticlockwise even as he leaves home for opposite)4;
from the opposite position, face right and pinwheel with the side couple,
          first with the right hands (three bars forward, reverse direction
          one bar) then pinwheel with the left hands (four bars); ladies are to
          have their hands overhead during the pinwheels8;
same couples:  little Christmas (ladies’ hands on the gents’ shoulders)6;
                         reverse to-place at home2;
Side couples: repeat from   REPEAT "MARKER"     except  they crossover first anticlockwise
          (on the right)48.
  SET FORMATION   FIGURE 4 -- REELS (232 BARS)
Dance a gliding/shuffling   p o l k a    step, down-2-3, and a batter-
          step, heel-toe, down, heel-toe, down, down, heel-toe down.
All couples: REPEAT "MARKER" chain (gents dance anticlockwise and ladies clockwise)16;
swing in ceili hold8.
First top couple: take crossed-hands and advance and retire once4;   
turn the lady under anticlockwise as both partners change places and the
          other couples form a horseshoe or U-shape with the first top
          couple at the open end of the formation4;
All couples: holding closest hands in the horseshoe formation, dance a batter step
          in-place8;
jazz around the set as original partners16.
repeat from   REPEAT "MARKER"   with the second top couple, the first side couple, then
          the second side couple leading168.
   SET FORMATION   FIGURE 5 -- POLKAS (128 BARS)
Dance a gliding/shuffling polka step, down-2-3.
All couples: take hands in a circle and advance and retire twice8;
jazz around the set16;
REPEAT "MARKER" take hands in a circle and advance and retire twice;
          ladies move inside the set to the next position on the right during
          the final retire8;
jazz around the set as new partners16;
repeat from   REPEAT "MARKER"   until original partners jazz around the set again72.
