This set is from County Roscommon, Ireland. |
| |
Swing in ceili hold. |
| |
Corner-partners: While in set formation, gents turn left and ladies turn right to |
| begin dancing with one another in their respective nearest corner. | |
| |
Jazz, Jazzing: In waltz hold couples dance anticlockwise around the set for sixteen |
| bars of music, combining clockwise turns and straight-line dancing. The | |
| jazzing step is a gentle walk (1-2, 1-2, 1-2, etc.) with a tiny bit of sway or | |
| lilt with each step. Only when jazzing with corner-partners, gents initially | |
| step backward on the right foot and ladies dance forward on the left foot. | |
| Dancers also Jazz in the TUBBERCURRY LANCERS and the | |
| CLOONADIVEEN LANCERS sets. | |
| |
Except as shown for Jazzing with corner-partners, gents begin (dance) on the left foot |
| and ladies begin on the right foot. | |
| |
Bar counts (quantities of measures) for patterns are shown in bold. |
| |
The total bar count for each Figure includes an eight-bar introduction of music. |
| |
First side couple is on the left of the first top couple. |
