4. Fusce: Aristius Fuscus, writer and friend of Horace.
5. Syrtis: i.e., Syrtes, Accusative plural, modified by aestuosas.
6. facturus: sc. est. object is iter (line 5).
9. lupus: subject of fugit (line 12);
  me: modified by inermem (line 12).
10. Lalagen: Greek Accusative. Garrison says, "the name suggests a babbler (Gk. lalage = prattle)."
14. aesculetis: modified by latis, Ablative of Place Where.
17. campis: modified by pigris, Ablative of Place Where.
19. quod latus: object of urget;
  nebulae: subject of urget.
20. Iuppiter: also subject of urget and metonymy for 'sky'.
