| Wednesday: In the morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we will visit the Vatican Museums, one of the most important collections of ancient (and more recent) art in the world. We will look at such famous pieces as the Laocoon, the Apollo Belvedere, and the Prima Porta Augustus. You will have free time to investigate the museum on your own, including the Sistine Chapel if you wish. After lunch in the Vatican Museum cafeteria, we will visit the amazing St. Peter’s Cathedral. Afterwards, you can return to the hotel for a siesta or sightsee on your own. |
