Course Description
This is an applications course exploring the profession of management consulting and learning to apply it to community projects as a part of a team. The course is designed to provide a framework for understanding the art and science of providing management counsel to client organizations in the public and private sectors.
Students will integrate material from the core program and become exposed to examples of utilizing their technical expertise and experience in both internal and external consulting roles to organizations. Students will also be expected to work in teams or individually depending upon the number of projects, to provide consulting services on projects for actual nonprofit clients and prepare solutions to case studies.
Evaluation (Student evaluation will be based on the following criteria :):
Case Discussions 15 pts
Client Proposal Design and Analysis 30 pts
Evaluation of Tools and Techniques 25 pts
Consulting Presentation 30 pts
Total 100
Grade range:
A: 90-100 pts B: 80-89 pts C: 70-79 pts D: 60-69 pts F: 59 or less pts
If a project is not completed, the grade will be considered “Incomplete”.

**. The Dept will purchase a copy for you and have that amount deducted from your Bursar’s Account. A list will be circulated on the first day of class. Upon your permission, the department will be reimbursed.

Cheating means to misrepresent the source, nature, or other conditions of your academic work (e.g., tests, papers, projects, assignments) so as to get undeserved credit. In addition, it is considered to cheating when one cooperates with someone else in any such misrepresentation. The use of the intellectual property of others without giving them appropriate credit is a serious academic offense. It is the University's policy that cheating or plagiarism result in receiving a failing grade for the work or course. Repeat offenses result in dismissal from the University.
Attendance
While no attendance is taken, you are nevertheless responsible for all content, including projects and assessments, presented in class. Any missed assessments cannot be made up.
