• Homework 4 is posted.

• You can download and unzip PVAnnuity.zip to obtain the twofolders PVAnnuity0345 and PVAnnuity0530. These are the VB programs used in class during the several weeks to introduce the topics related to homeworks 3 and 4.

   

• Quiz 1 will be on Thursday February 18, 2010. It will cover the material required for the first three homeworks.

   

• In case you missed it, the due date for homework 3 has been changed to midnight on Wednesday February 17, 2010.

• Homework 3 is posted.

• There is a problem with the instructions in Chapter 2 for obtaining the graphics that are used in homework 2. The URL

  is provided as a source for these graphics. This URL is incorrect.

  To get the graphics you will need, the correct URL is

  Once there, click the student edition link on the left of the page. Then, on the next page, click the DataFiles link. You can now download the compressed StudentData file. Unzip this file to some appropriate location on your disk and you will find the graphics you need for homework 2 are part of the compressed file.

• Homeworks 1 and 2 are available.

• You should check this page frequently. I will assume that you are aware of any announcement after it has been posted for 48 hours. 

   

• This page will be used to post announcements relevant to this class. For example, when a homework is posted to the web or graded or a quiz is announced, this will be noted here. Check it frequently.

   

• With the exception of the first homework, you will be submitting zip files when you submit your homeworks. If you need a program to zip up your homeworks, you can download winrar.downloadcenterz.com WinRar Version 3.71. You should be able to use this to zip up all homeworks.
