In my time researching my ancestry, I've come across some really great names that I as a writer honestly sort of wished I'd come up with myself. Here are most of them.
- My fifth great-grandmother, Catharine "Kitty" Garland. Born in Davidson County, Tennessee.
- My tenth great-grandfather, Alcynius Dodeson (who, if the internet is to be believed, was the only person to ever bear the name 'Alcynius'). Born in Knaresborough, England 1612; died 1680.
- My tenth great-grandmother, Peaceable Eggleston. Born in Biddenden, Ashford, Kent, England 1611; died 1659, Fairfield, Connecticut.
- My fourteenth great-grandmother, Genet Dillon. Born in Moymet Clifton, Meath, Ireland 1556; died 1615.
- My ninth great-grandmother, Mercy Satterlee Morrison (nee Mayse). Born in Stewartstown, Dungannon, Ireland 1716; died 1798, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
- My eighth great-grandmother, Leticia Bunting. Born in Wirksworth, England 1661; died 1690, Cheltenhem, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
- My seventh great-grandmother, Maria Bloos. Born in Willenstad, Netherlands, 1705; died ?.
