ASSIGNMENTS

  Assignment 1:  Certain aspects of society reflect the sociopolitical environment of the time.  Please select one of the following topics, or a teacher approved topic of your choice, as your focus to demonstrate your understanding of that statement:  Fashion, Music, Movies, Consumerism, New Industries.  Log onto your personal blog to write a minimum six paragraph analysis on this.  

 Assignment 2:    There are a total of fifteen subtopics.  Working with a partner, and with teacher approval, select one subtopic from one of the five main areas and compare and contrast the similarities and differences of that subtopic for each decade, 1920's and 1960's.                    Your comparison should be written on the Cycles of Time wiki where you and your partner will write and edit your responses working towards a coherent and descriptive summary of your subtopic. Each member is to make a written contribution to each subtopic, either expanding on something already said or adding a new perspective.

   Log onto the wiki where there will be a page for each main topics to complete the assignment. 

 Assignment 3:  Using the Cycle of Times wiki, Civil Rights Discussion page, discuss the similarities and differences between the roles of women, African Americans and immigrants and other minorities during the 1920's and the 1960's.  In addition please comment on its relevance to today.  This is a general class commentary and each person is expected to include a minimum of 5 comparison / contrasts.  In addition please comment 

 Assignment 4:  Create an imaginary identity or take on the role of someone from either the 1920's or 1960's that is mentioned in this website.  Record a podcast, in personal narrative style, talking about your daily or personal life as well as what is going on in the world around you. The podcast should be a minimum of five minutes.  Use Audacity to create your podcast.
