Strategic Plan View
This strategic plan was a group project in the Managing Technological Change course at Kent State University. The goal of this project was to create a plan to take an organization through a change process. The group decided that the wiki format would lend itself nicely to this project because it would cut down on paper and help control the versions of the document. The wiki also provides a format for presentation in that we can share a URL without the need for a hardcopy. The topic of this project is transitioning a school from MS Office to the Open Office productivity software. The plan details, in three phases, how a school will move from one suite of software to the other.
Practicum Experience
Practicum Reflection View | My practicum experience was an enlightening experience for me. It was a lesson in constructivism. I learned that a teacher must be a facilitator to effectively teach technology. I discovered that to be an effective educator, one must help the learner find the information and then provide opportunities for him or her to form his or her understanding of the subject. |
Practicum Journal View | This exhibit details my weekly experiences throughout my practicum. It contains reflections on my learning journey through my practicum experience. |
Change Agent Biography View
This biography was the fulfillment of a project requirement for my Managing Technological change class. In this class we learned about change theory and how to most effectively serve as an agent of change and understand the change process from an organizational point of view. The biography discusses the change according to Roger's Diffusion of Innovation.

Persuasive Poster
This image is an anti-smoking project. I began with the black background. Next, I found a jpeg image of the cigarette and the skull. |
Sketchup Modeling
This was my first try at 3-dimensional modeling. The process reminded me of playing with blocks as a child. I was able to mold the shapes and create the image that I had in my head. It took some time to become accustomed to drawing in a three-axis environment. On the one hand it was helpful to be able to rotate the image and look at it from different points of view. On the other hand it was difficult at time to determine on which axis a line was being drawn. In spite of the challenges and perhaps because of them, this was an enjoyable project.
