Web Design and Development

A Little About Me

I returned to Kent State University last year to finish my requirements for a degree. When I first started college in 1998, I was a Computer Science major; however for the last 14 years I have been working as a Software Engineer in the Rubber, Plastics and composites industry. This experience has led me to switch majors to the newer Digital Sciences.

In my current position, I primarily spend time developing Windows, mobile and web applications for control and data management of quality control instrumentation. These applications primarily are developed using C# and ASP (.NET 4.5), yet also include C, C++, Javascript, and HTML5. I am also the lead on our build and release systems, so I spent a lot of time working with MSI, MSBuild scripts, CIS, and TFS management.

While the majority of my full time work is spent with the .NET framework, I also run a contract company where I spend time developing ERP systems, websites, and mobile applications with C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, PHP, and Java. I am looking forward to what this course can add to my current skill set, and hope you enjoy the site.
