Monette describing Katrina sediment at Gulf Islands NS

Monette Dalal is working on characterizing sedimentation from Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Islands. Her research goals include documenting lateral and vertical grain size changes in Katrina deposits, interpreting sedimentary structures, and attempting to relate these sedimentary features to storm hydraulics so that paleostorm deposits can be identified and interpreted. She can be reached by email: mdalal at kent dot edu.

This work was funded by a research grant from Gulf Islands NS.
