                                    Students who have not successfully completed the course prerequisites must withdraw from this class. You risk deregistration if you have not completed the prerequisite.
 
REGISTRATION:     Students have the responsibility to ensure they are properly
enrolled in classes. You are advised to review your official class schedule during the first two weeks of the semester to ensure you are properly enrolled in this class and section. Should you find an error in your class schedule, you must correct it with your advising office. If registration errors are not corrected and you continue to attend and participate in classes for which you are not officially enrolled, you are advised now that you will not receive a grade at the conclusion of the semester for any class in which are you are not properly registered.
 
GRADING:                Course grades will be based on four examination papers. The first three are each worth 20 percentage pts.  The final is worth 40 pts.
                                    The grading system incorporates the newly introduced PLUS/MINUS system with the following scale:
                                    A (4.0), A- (3.7), B+ (3.3), B (3.0), B- (2.7), C+(2.3), C (2.0),
                                    C- (1.7), D+ (1.3), D (1.0), F (0.0)
 
 
ATTENDANCE:        While attendance will not be taken, students are accountable for all
information presented in the lectures. Some of this information will not be covered in the text.
 
 
 
 
 
 
MISSED EXAMS:     If you miss the deadline for a paper you must inform the instructor
within 48 hours of the missed deadline. Students will be given the opportunity to take a make-up exam only if they have a reasonable reason for missing the scheduled exam (death in the family, illness, etc…) and can provide documentation. Failure to meet these conditions will result in the student receiving a grade of zero for the missed paper. There will be no exceptions.

WITHDRAWAL:       The last day to withdraw from the course is November 5, 2006.

OBJECTIVES:           The purpose of this seminar is to gain an understanding of how
                                    international business is affected by the forces of globalization: the
                                    opportunities, threats and challenges that ensue from
                                    hypercompetition, and the institutional  checks and balances
                                    necessary to prevent complexity deteriorating into chaos.
