the editorial principles developed for the Concordance to the
Minor Poetry of Edward Taylor, this concordance includes cross-referencing
of variants and distinguishing of homographs. This 4-volume
concordance has just been published by Edwin Mellen Press (August
2008).

The Rhetoric of War
in Early America: Discourse and Social Practice in the Literature
of Conflict. A new project, this study employs critical
discourse analysis to discover
how colonists constructed histories and narratives of conflict, how genres
and social practices changed across time, and how cultural
conflict is articulated in narratives of that conflict. The
focus is on documents of the several "French & Indian Wars"
as well as earlier conflicts in 17th century New England.
