Computer Applications in Education
Designing Visuals for Instruction
- Special Effects Exhibit - various filters were used to alter the pictures in this presentation.
Learning Theories
- Multimedia Learning and Cognitive Load in Children Considerations for Multimedia Designers and Educators - A review of several research studies that examine cognitive load in children and considerations around the use and development of multimedia material.
- Remembering Can Cause Forgetting – but Not in Negative Moods - This is a PowerPoint presentation I created based on a reserach study that investigated how affective states may influence retrieval-induced forgetting.
Designing Online Courses
- Basic Computer Skills - This is a link to the online course that I created using Moodle. You must first register to gain access and then password for the course is computers. The course is geared towards students who are new to computers and the internet. The skills covered are computer, internet, email and word processing.
Instuctional Applications of the Internet
- Instructional Website - We were required to create a instructional website. For the purposes of the course I created a website for the Instructional Resource Center with resources for faculty members and other educators to use. Some of the media has already been transferred to the actual website. There is training documentation for classroom equipment, video tutorials and other sources of information.
