Floor Hockey Assessment

The first artifact for Outcome 1.1 is a floor hockey lesson plan that focuses upon scoring by using the wrist and snap shot along with the give-and-go.  The teaching cues are highlighted and are aligned with the lesson objectives.  The assessment that is highlighted is a psychomotor assessment that focuses on the wrist and snap shot, along with the give-and-go.

The second artifact for Outcome 1.1 is a floor hockey lesson plan that focuses upon scoring.  The teaching cues highlighted elicit feedback that can be given to students regarding the wrist and snap shot.  The teaching cues for the warm-up are also highlighted.  The questions asked to the students are also highlighted as they help measure the students’ understanding of the biomechanical concepts focused on.

The third artifact for Outcome 1.1 is a gymnastics lesson that focuses upon the balance beam.  The instruction of the warm-up is highlighted as it shows my use of teaching cues used for the locomotor movements performed during the warm-up.  The teaching cues highlighted within the content section of the lesson plan deal with walking forward and backward, dips, balances, and turns on the balance beam.

Outcome 1.3 is comprised of a floor hockey lesson plan that focuses upon scoring, a gymnastics lesson plan that focuses on the balance beam, and a team building lesson plan.  The objectives of each of these lessons are highlighted and align with the lesson content, Developmental Task Analyses, and task extensions.  The final artifact is a cognitive assessment that was given to the students during the final day of the unit.  This assessment aligns with the learning objectives of all the floor hockey lessons, including those shown above.
