Build a Technology Day

Computer Applications in Education

This was an collaborative team effort to build a technology-rich school day for fifth grade students. We chose to do this in the form of a website. This technology day features activities in nine content areas: art, language arts, math, music, health, physical education, science, social studies, and Spanish. Each lesson is related to a local or state curriculum standard and relates the standard to some use of technology which engages students in learning. My content areas were Math and Health.

Technology Instructional Strategy Matrix

Computer Applications in Education

The Instructional Strategy Matrix was another collaborative effort where I worked with a team of students to identify specific technologies that can be used for specific types of instructional strategies. The technologies chosen for this project are those that engage students in exploring real-world issues using digital tools and resources. My core strategies were Identifying Similarities and Differences and Homework and Practice.
